1. Importing the Complete Site

  1. Install & Activate Migration Plugin
    • In the WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
    • Select the provided all-in-one-wp-migration.zip, click Install Now, then Activate.
  2. Import Backup
    • Navigate to All-in-One WP Migration → Import → Import From → File.
    • Choose the .wpress backup file and click Proceed to overwrite existing content.
    • Wait for the import to finish.
  3. Refresh Permalinks
    • Go to Settings → Permalinks, click Save Changes twice to regenerate rewrite rules.

2. Customizing Site Identity, Menus & Styles

The site uses the Extendable theme. Use its Customizer options for branding.

2.1. Update Site Title & Logo

  1. Appearance → Customize → Site Identity.
  2. Set Site Title to “Remote Work Essentials” and update Tagline.
  3. Upload your Site Logo (recommended 250×100px).
  4. Click Publish.

2.2. Configure Menus

  2. General Settings
    • Go to WP Mail SMTP → Settings.

    • Enable Force From Email/Name.
  3. Configure Mailer
    • Select your SMTP provider and enter SMTP Host, Port (465/587), Encryption (SSL/TLS), Username, Password.
    • Click Save Settings.
  4. Test Email
    • Use Email Test tab to send a test message to confirm delivery.

5. Setting Up WPForms

  1. Install & Activate
    • Plugins → Add New, search WPForms, Install & Activate.
  2. Create a Form
    • In WPForms → Add New, choose a template (e.g., Contact Form).
  3. Configure Notifications
    • Under Settings → Notifications, set Send To Email Address to contact@desk.your-domain.com.
    • Ensure From Name/Email matches your SMTP setup.
  4. Embed in Elementor
    • Drag the WPForms widget into your desired page, select the form, and Update.
    • Test submission and confirm email receipt.
